Mirror or Entity

Most people are building a noisy copy of themselves.

Nearly everyone building an agent is building a mirror. They load in their own history, their voice, their hesitations and their tangents, and the agent comes out a copy with the noise still in it. It inherits the second-guessing along with the judgment, because a life contains both and the training data does not separate them.

A mirror is reactive. It reflects whatever was put into it. An entity is generative. It has its own purpose and its own frame, and it acts from there.

If you build one, give it an identity of its own. No inherited noise, no rails you did not mean to add. The test is not whether it sounds like you. The test is whether it can hold a position you never gave it.
